Edward Lee Logan's Obituary
Edward Lee Logan, 97, died on November 27, 2010. He was born in Houston County, Tennessee, the youngest child of Eugene and Nannie Lee Logan. He served in the United States Army during World War II. After the war, he returned to Nashville and operated Logan's Grocery Stores with his brothers and sister. At the time of his death, he lived in Birmingham, AL. He was a member of Saint Luke's Episcopal Church,Birmingham,AL. He was predeceased by his wife of 57 years, Ann F. Logan, and a son, Edward H. Logan. He is survived by a daughter, Leeann Logan of Birmingham,AL and sons, John W. Logan of Bellingham, WA, Shawn M. Logan of Nashville, TN and Thomas C. Logan (Susan) of Birmingham, AL. He is survived by grandchildren, Jeny L. Bird, Rachel A. Logan, John W. Logan, Jr, Melissa D. Logan, Willow Logan, Ann Douglas Logan, Sarah Hayden Logan, J. Vann Logan and Margaret L. Logan. A service will be held at Springhill Funeral Home on Wednesday, December 1st at 11AM. Visitation will be held from 10AM until 11AM. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Saint Luke's Episcopal Church,3736 Montrose Road Birmingham, AL 35213
