Mr. Edward B. Satterfield's Obituary
Edward B. Satterfield age 78, passed away July 18, 2013. Ed was the son of the late Richard and Anna Langhans Satterfield. Preceded in death by his first wife Patricia Johnson Satterfield, brother James Satterfield, and sister Mildred Watkins. He is survived by his wife Joann Smart Satterfield; brother Richard (Wilma) Satterfield, Jr.; daughters Phyllis (James) Thole, Lisa Thoni, and Edie (Dan) Whitley; grandchildren Anthony and Michael Thole, Claire, Emma, Ellen and Maggie Thoni, Kay (Rhamey) Ihmeidan, Libby Whitley, and brother-in-law Claude Watkins. Ed graduated from Father Ryan’s Class of 1953. He was a lifetime member of the Knights of Columbus Council 3763 and had served as Past Grand Knight. He was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church and retired after 30 years from Ford Glass Plant. A funeral mass will be held Tuesday, July 23, 2013, 10:00 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Father Patrick Connor and Father Joe McMahon officiating. Active pallbearers will be Phillip Satterfield, Richard Satterfield III, Kelly Watkins, Frank Schmidt, Mike Potts, Fred Berry, Lonnie Fox, Dennis Street, Jim Kennedy, Leon Dodd, and Rhamey Ihmeidan. Honorary pallbearers will be the Father Ryan’s Class of 1953 and their spouses. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday 3:00-8:00 p.m. with a Rosary service at 7:00 p.m., Spring Hill Funeral Home. Special thanks to Mt. Juliet Healthcare and the Palliative Unit at Vanderbilt Hospital.
