Mrs. Edwina Bowman Neal's Obituary

Mrs. Edwina B. Neal was born on October 5, 1949 in Nashville, TN to the parentage of Edwina Bowman and David Fitzgerald. She was preceded in death by her mother, Mrs. Edwina B. Wade; her father, David Fitzgerald; a sister, Mrs. Alice (George) Johnson; brothers, James, David, Jim and Garey Bowman.
She leaves to mourn her passing a devoted son, Wayne L. (Kelli) Neal; a devoted daughter, Kimberly Neal; grandchildren, Megan Neal, Sharon Simmons, Deon Simmons and Karon Simmons; great-grandchildren, Amaiyah Simmons, Amarayi Simmons and Serenity Simmons; a sister, Mrs. Dorothy (Horace) McCrary; brothers, Robert, Arthur and Rory Bowman; and a half-brother, Larius Fitzgerald; a sister-in-law, Mrs. Margaret Bowman; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
The family acknowledge with genuine appreciation for the acts of kindness and professional care given by Dr. Karl M. Rogers and the staff of Nashville Oncology Associates and Dr. Laura Wile and the staff of Gentiva Hospice during her illness.
Special expression of love to her devoted nieces, Mrs. Deborah Carney, Queen Johnson, Joyce (Torvis) Gardner, great-niece, Delneta Nevels and others.
Mrs. Neal professed a hope in Christ and was baptized at Pilgrim Emmanuel Baptist Church. She attended Cameron High School and was a 33 year employee of Baptist Hospital.
The family will receive friends Saturday, November 14, 2015 from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. with a celebration of life funeral service following at Spring Hill Funeral Home. Edwina will be laid to rest in the Serenity Chapel Mausoleum of Spring Hill Cemetery, Saturday, November 21, 2015 at 12 p.m.
