Eileen Vincett Rosenberger's Obituary
Eileen Vincett Rosenberger, age 92 of Madison, formerly of Gainesville, FL passed away Thursday, December 13, 2012. Mrs. Rosenberger was born in Durant, MS on September 9, 1920 to Ernest Randolph and Elsie Pressley Vincett. She married Alan Rosenberger on May 3, 1945 and while her husband was serving in the Army, she lived in New York, Texas, Washington and Heidelberg, Germany. After military retirement, they moved to Gainesville, FL where they resided for over 30 years prior to moving to TN. She was an elementary school teacher, serving at Littlewood Elementary and Idylwild Elementary in Gainesville. She was a member of City Road Chapel United Methodist Church. Throughout her life, she taught various Sunday school classes as well as working with many children’s groups. An excellent seamstress, she also enjoyed arts and crafts. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Thomas and Marion “Vin” Vincett; and sisters, Catherine “Kit” Warren, Marjorie “Madge” Tompkins, Hilda Wyke and Joyce McIntyre. She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Alan Rosenberger; children, Karen (John) Jones, Richard (Janet) Rosenberger and Jody (Neal) Robinson; grandchildren, Arthur and Miriam Jones, Eric and Katie Rosenberger, Dustin and Rev. Haley (Thomas Farley) Robinson; and great-grandchild, David Brigham. A celebration of Mrs. Rosenberger’s life will be conducted at 7:00 P.M., Monday, December 17, 2012 from the Chapel of Spring Hill Funeral Home with Rev. Ron Lowery officiating. Entombment will be private. The family will receive friends from 3 P.M. until 6 P.M. on Monday, prior to the service at Spring Hill Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to City Road Chapel United Methodist Church, Alive Hospice or to Habitat for Humanity.
