Mrs. Wood was a one of a kind lady. She was kind, loving, and sassy. She loved her family more than anything in the world, and as the oldest daughter of seven children, she was a natural born caregiver. She always made sure she did her best to raise her children right and instill in them spiritual values, manners, and a sense of taking pride in your home and appearance. Mrs. Wood loved to sing and her singing always made everyone smile. Her sunny disposition and songs earned her the nickname “Sunshine” and her love for hats, pearls, and striking a pose earned her the nickname “Miss Hollywood.” Elise Wood was a very special and unique person who was loved dearly by all who knew her, and it is certain that she will be missed.
Mrs. Wood, In her wisdom, chose NHC on Fairground Street in Franklin as her final home. We know she would want all the wonderful people there to know she loved them dearly. The Wood family will be ever grateful for their loving service.
The Wood family has requested that friends and guests in attendance of Mrs. Wood’s visitation and services wear their favorite hat to honor her love for hats.
