Mrs. Elizabeth Ann Champion's Obituary
Elizabeth Ann Champion, age 76, passed away on July 29, 2014. Ann was born in Nashville, Tennessee on June 24, 1938 to the late John Adam Brewer, Sr. and Mildred Nolan. Above all else, Ann was known for her love of family. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. She was also an accomplished cook, adding love to her recipes as readily as she added it to the lives of her family.
In addition to her parents, Ann was preceded in death by her husband of over thirty years, Frank Champion; son, Michael Wayne Mallory; brothers, Jackie Wayne Brewer, Charles William Harding, and Donald Hale Harding; and sister, Peggy Freeman.
She is survived by her sons, Kenneth Paul Mallory, Jr. and Andy (Nettie) Champion; daughters, Karen Mallory and Theresa (Brett) Palmer; brothers, Ronald (Sue) Harding and John A. Brewer, Jr.; sisters, Vivian Sanders, Mary (Terry) Simmons, and Linda (Mark) Fleming; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and her beloved Aunt Edna Ragsdale, whom she spoke with nearly every day.
Ann’s family will receive friends and visitors on Friday, August 1, 2014, from 12pm until 3pm and from 5pm until 8pm, at Spring Hill Funeral Home. Brother Dickie Reynolds will lead a Celebration of Life service to honor Ann on Saturday, August 2, 2014 at 11am in the Chapel of Spring Hill Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the Greenlawn Garden of Historic Spring Hill Cemetery, with family serving as pallbearers.
