Mrs. Elizabeth W Cooper's Obituary
Elizabeth W. Cooper, age 88, died July 4, 2021, in Tyler, TX. Born in Nashville, September 16, 1932 to Bettie Mae Avril White and Rudy William White Sr., she lived 85 of her years in East Nashville and Hendersonville. She graduated from Isaac Litton High School. Elizabeth was a strong Christian and most recently an active member at Indian Lake Peninsula Church, Hendersonville until her decline in health. For many years she was employed in patient accounting at Miller Medical Group. She finished her career as the church secretary for Lockeland Baptist Church, where she was an active member for 45 years, serving as the first woman deacon, and choir member.
Elizabeth was preceded in death by her husband Kenneth Steely Cooper, L&N Railroad, 1999. Surviving family includes daughter Carol Cooper and partner Terry Gantvoort, Woodland Park, CO and son Curtis, wife Fran Dalton Cooper and her grand daughter Anna Elizabeth Cooper, all of Tyler, TX. Elizabeth had six siblings and a multitude of nephews, nieces, and kinfolk which blessed her family throughout her life.
Honorary pallbearers are nephews: Wayne Bandy, Gary White, Virgil Allison, Bruce White and Barry White.
Graveside service for Elizabeth will be held at Spring Hill Funeral Home and Cemetery, 5110 Gallatin Road, Nashville, TN, 37216, on August 3, 2021 at 9:30 AM. Friends are requested to meet at the gravesite prior to the service.
A memorial service for Elizabeth will take place on Tuesday, August 3rd, at 11:00 AM at The Church at Lockeland Springs, 1601 Holly St. Nashville, TN 37206 in Nashville with Dr. Terry Terry officiating. Visitation with the family will be held after the memorial service.
