Elizabeth Ann Tidwell's Obituary
A Gracious Life: Remembering Elizabeth Ann Tidwell
December 16th, 1925 - April 7th, 2025
Our beloved Elizabeth "Ann" Tidwell graced the world with her sweetness and wit on December 16th, 1925, Ann was a selfless soul and a lifelong learner, always eager to share her wisdom and kindness with everyone she met.
She was the cherished daughter of G.W. Russell and Mary Lou Russell, and the dear sister of Jean Grice and Bobbie Pickelheimer. The memories of their laughter and the bonds they shared remain tender threads in the tapestry of our family stories.
Ann found profound love with her husband of 76 years, William Tidwell Jr. Together, they built a home filled with love, warmth, graciousness and accomplishment. Though she faced the deep sorrow of losing her daughter, Teresa Ann Moore, her resilient spirit and selfless nature never wavered.
.
" She is survived by son, William “Bill” (Janene) Tidwell III; son-in-law, Butch Moore; sister, Bobbie Pickelheimer; grandchildren, Angie (John) Janicek, Emily (Dan) Skufca, Stephen (Gina) Tidwell, Kathryn (Justin) Strong, Meredith (Stuart) Marchetti, Trey (Mary) Moore and Caitlyn (Jimmy) Layman; 15 great-grandchildren and 2 great great-grandchildren."
Ann faithfully served as a life-long member of Goodlettsville First Baptist Church. We will forever cherish Ann's wholesome demeanor, her quick wit, and the gracious way she embraced life. Her legacy of sweetness and intellectual curiosity continues to inspire us all.
As we bid farewell, we hold onto the precious memories and the lessons she gracefully taught us. Ann, your spirit lives on in our hearts, and we are eternally grateful for the love and light you brought into our lives.
