Miss Elizabeth Wehby's Obituary
Miss Elizabeth Wehby, 95, a resident of Nashville died Wednesday, May 14, 2014 at Donelson Place Care and Rehab.
The Birmingham, AL native was the daughter of the late Sam Joseph and Sultana Assouf Wehby. She was a secretary for many years for Dixie Highway and Pioneer and Hoover trucking companies. She was a faithful celebrant of St. Joseph Catholic Church and life time member of The Ladies of Charity. She enjoyed travelling and was an avid Notre Dame fan. For many years she and her sister were caretakers of their parents.
She is survived by her brother, Bernard Wehby; nieces and nephews; Mickey Wehby, Shirley (N.Lee) Welch, Delores (Sam) Young, Samuel Wehby, and Delores Wehby. She was preceded in death by a sister, Alma Wehby; brothers, Terry, Norman, and Jack Wehby.
The Funeral Mass will be conducted Monday, May 19, 2014 at 10:00AM at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Father Tomy Joseph officiating. The family will visit with friends Sunday, May 18, 2014 from 3:00 until 5:00PM at Spring Hill Funeral Home with The Rosary being recited at the conclusion of visitation . Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Memorials may be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church or School, Ladies of Charity or Alive Hospice.
