Mr. Elmer Wallace Disspayne Jr.'s Obituary
Elmer Wallace Disspayne, Jr, 61, of Nashville, Tennessee, passed away on Tuesday, January 25, 2022. Born May 4, 1960, in Nashville, he was the son of the late Elmer Wallace Disspayne, Sr. and Thelma Williams Disspayne.
Elmer was a loving father, grandfather, brother and friend who will be missed dearly. He was a graduate of McGavock High School and studied at Middle Tennessee State University and Nashville State Community College. He worked in IT for the state of Tennessee and Metro Nashville. He was a free spirit and loved music. Elmer would give you the shirt off of his back and was known for letting less fortunate people come to his home to charge their phones, grab a bite to eat or simply warm up from the cold. His family will remember him as a highly intelligent man with a big heart.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter Deanna Beth Disspayne; brothers Don Disspayne and Bill Disspayne; sister Debbie Disspayne Jones.
He is survived by his son Jason Allen Disspayne; grandchildren Lillian Bearden, Joshua Tumach, Olivia Tumach, Nikki Disspayne, and Lexi Disspayne; sisters Wallis Carol Everett and Diane Disspayne Carter; and several nieces and nephews.
A graveside ceremony will take place on Saturday, February 5, 2022 at 3 PM at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Elmer’s memory to the Nashville Rescue Mission.
