Vickie Carter
I would like to take a moment to say some things on Elsie Montgomery Carroll.
Elsie was such a sweet loving person. She loved to plant flowers, play bingo, loved her dog Trouble, she loved so very much......Elsie loved her Strawberry milkshake and cheeseburger. We'd always take her one during our visit. She took care of her disabled husband, James Carroll, for years until his passing. Then, Elsie took care of her brother Jim Montgomery, until his passing. Years after that, she moved to high rise for a few years til her health took a toil on her. We had no choice but to put her in Hillcrest Nursing home. The past six months Elsie started going down in her health, which, we were there for her during her time of need.
One special memory I would like to address: My mom and I were standing over her, I was so amazed that she had very little wrinkles on her face. I asked her "Elsie, how did you keep looking so young? Elsie, looked up at me, with those pretty blue eyes and said, in a very soft voice "Oil of O'lay"....we all had a good laugh. That moment, I will always cherish.
Elsie Carroll, was a character for sure.
All those who knew Elsie and loved her, knew she did not hesitate to ask for what she needed or wanted. We always, tried to do the best to get the things she needed and what she wanted....haha. God love her, she'll surly be missed, by family and friends.
May Elsie be reunited with Uncle James, her brother, mom and dad and all her family in heaven.....You'll be missed here. love you.
Sincerely,
Vickie Carter (Niece)
