Mrs. Elsie Orene Ethridge's Obituary
Elsie Orene Ethridge, 85, of Lebanon, Tennessee, passed away on Monday, October 4, 2021. Born January 17, 1936 in Dickson County, Tennessee, she was the daughter of the late Charles Scott and Rachel Myatt Scott.
She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother who will be missed dearly. She was a longtime member of Eastview Church of Christ. Elsie enjoyed making crafts and jewelry. She also enjoyed completing jigsaw puzzles as long as they were under 300 pieces.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Wendell Ethridge; great grandchild Caidyn; and she was the last surviving member of 13 siblings.
She is survived by her son Richard (Linda) Scott; daughters Theresa Manning, Cindy (Troy) Melin, Wendy (Donald Defore) Bly, and Rebecca Ethridge; grandchildren Bobby Hopwood, Brandon Scott, Corrine Hopwood, Jason Melin, Melinda Waffird, Kayla Golden, Antoine Ethridge, Alicia Doran, Jennifer Doran, Christopher Goddard, Christina Goddard and Samuel Goddard; Reagan, James, Alex, Rose, Matthew, Alexis, Kaliah, Paisley, and three more; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 4-8pm on Friday, October 8, 2021 at Spring Hill Funeral Home in Nashville. A Celebration of Life Service will take place on Saturday, October 9, at 2pm at the funeral home. Family will receive friends and visitors 2 hours prior to the service. Burial will follow in the Historic Spring Hill Cemetery.
