Mr. Emery E. Morgan's Obituary
Mr. Emery E. Morgan, 86, a resident of Gallatin, died Friday, August 29, 2014 at Sumner Regional Medical Center.
The Nashville, Tennessee native was the son of the late Clyde and Mary Miller Morgan. He was a lithographer for Ambrose Printing in Nashville for over 40 years and was a member of the Goodlettsville Church of Christ. He enjoyed trout fishing and travelling. He proudly served our country in the United States Army385th Military Police Service Battalion. He also after retirement was a funeral assistant at Spring Hill Funeral Home & Cemetery in Madison.
He is survived by his lovely wife, Geneva Smith Morgan; a son, Keith (Brenda) Morgan; a sister, Edna (Kenneth) Netherton; a brother, Harold Morgan; two grandchildren, Justin Morgan and Lisa (Jeff) Cornwell; six great grandchildren, Kristin Morgan, Brayden Morgan, Jacob Marina, Haleigh Walden, Hannah Cornwell, and Alyssa Cornwell; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a son, Jeffrey Paul Morgan.
A Celebration of Life Funeral Ceremony will be conducted on Monday, September 1, 2014 at 11:00AM at Spring Hill Funeral Home with Norman Slate officiating. The family will visit with friends Sunday, August 31, 2014 from 1:00 until 7:00PM and Monday from 10:00AM until service time at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Historic Spring Hill Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Church of Christ Disaster Relief Fund. Arrangements have been entrusted to Spring Hill Funeral Home & Cemetery, Nashville, 615-865-1101.
