Emma Mae Robinson's Obituary
ROBINSON, Emma Mae Robinson was born April 15th, 1948 in Inverness, Mississippi, the daughter of Mansfield and Essie Langston. Emma was a saved soul from a very early age. Emma moved to Flint Michigan in 1967 and found employment at General Motors where she worked for 27 years. She was a longtime member of Heavenly Host Missionary Baptist Church, under the leadership of Bishop M.C. Akins. Emma moved to Nashville with her son and daughter-in-law in 2006. She was a faithful member of Evans Hill Missionary Baptist Church, John P. West Pastor and will be greatly missed. She leaves to cherish her memory, devoted son and daughter-in-law, Eric D. Langston (Brandi); cherished daughter Erika O. Robinson; four grandchildren, Jason, Ameer, Cashmere and Cherish; five brothers, Mansfield, T.L (Anna), Cliffton (Shaboo), Willie Earl and Terry; three sisters, Josie, Alberta (Clarence) and Lillie; one aunt, Rita; a host of nieces and nephews; very special friends Yvonne Foote, Nettie Burnette, Versa Berry, Jackie Phillips, Alton Robinson, and Wila Lee Baty. Emma was proceeded in death by parents Mansfield and Essie Langston; brothers Leroy, Larry and Barry Dale Langston. Visitation will be Friday, February 11th from 2-8PM at Spring Hill Funeral Home and Saturday, February 12th from 11AM till service time at Noon at Evans Hill Baptist Church 1341 Tulip Grove Rd. Hermitage, TN 37076Ecclesiastes 9:11 I returned, and saw under the sun, that the race is not to the swift nor the battle to the strong. Neither yet bread to the wise, nor yet riches to men of understanding nor yet favour to men of skill; but time and chance happeneth to them all.
