Emma Sudie Mack's Obituary
MACK, Emma Sudie Young,of Murfreesboro departed this life on March 24, 2010, one week short of her 90 birthday. She was the eldest child of Inman and Pearl Brown Young. She was preceded in death by her brothers Inman Jr., and James Young, her sister Margie Collins, and infant son, Jerry Edwin Mack. She is survived by brother, Jerry Young of Columbia, and children, Johnathon Adair, Gweneth Suzanne Mack Baer of Atlanta, Julian Arthur (Linda) Mack of Westpoint, GA, Edwin Douglas (Pamela) Mack of Murfreesboro, Mary Mack Turnipseed of Conyers, GA, and Emily (Francois) Mack Mahe of Murfreesboro, and 10 grandchildren. During the 60s through the 80s Ms. Mack was active on the VFW Women's Auxiliary and the Business and Professional Women's Organizations, helping in the fight for women's rights. Her true passion was the United Daughters of the Confederacy, an organization of direct linear descendants of confederate soldiers. They maintain the history of the war between the states and provide scholarship assistance for direct descendants attending college. An active member since joining in 1967 Ms. Mack served many offices and in 1980 began a two-year term as Tennessee State President of the U.D.C. Visitation will be at Roselawn Mausoleum Saturday March 27, 2010 from 4-6PM with service following. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Salvation Army or Highland Rim Regional Library Book Mobile.
