Mr. Eric Neal Reed's Obituary
Mr. Eric Neal Reed, age 48, of Nashville, Tennessee, passed away on Sunday, June 26, 2022. Born on December 30, 1973, Eric is survived by his parents Parkie Neal Reed and Annette Reed Hayaux, son Ethan Warner Reed, sister and brother-in-law Leslie Reed and Brian Zivicky, brother Benjamin Drake Reed, and a host of extended family and friends.
Eric was a caring, smart, creative and talented individual. He was a loving father and his son Ethan was the joy of his life. Eric’s many natural talents were often on display. He was an amazing chef and could cook anything. Music filled his soul and he could play any instrument he picked up. Eric spent his late teens and twenties playing bass guitar in a band that he formed with dear friends called “Spider Virus”. Eric also had a wonderful sense of humor and was incredibly witty. His beautiful smile and infectious laugh made anyone in his presence feel love and joy. Eric meant so much to so many and he will be dearly missed.
Eric never stopped working to overcome his challenges, which deepened his compassion for others. Eric drew strength from his spirituality and no matter what he faced, he helped anyone he could.
In lieu of flowers, the Reed family has requested that donations be made in Eric’s memory to organizations that exemplify his loving spirit in supporting those in need.
The family is holding a private service for Eric on Saturday, July 2, 2022. A Celebration of Life memorial will be held at a later date.
