Mr. Ernest Carr West Sr.'s Obituary
Ernest Carr West, Sr., age 88 of Nashville, TN passed away November 12, 2013. Mr. West was born in Carthage, TN on June 22, 1925 to Otis Carr and Sally Betty Kemp West. He worked for TN Central Railroad and later, L and N Railroad before his retirement in 1982. He enjoyed gardening and working in his yard.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, James Gordon West. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, May Cene Poe West; son, Ernest C. "Ernie" (Karen) West, Jr. and Melissa West (Mohammad) Sadeghi; sister, Marie West Estes; grandchildren, Leslie Sadeghi (Keith) Brooks, Elyse Sadeghi, Taylor Carr West, Carson Locke West and Hannah Mae Nissen; three nephews and one niece.
The family will receive friends from 4 PM until 8 PM on Thursday, November 14 at Spring Hill Funeral Home. Graveside services will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Alive Hospice. Arrangements entrusted to Spring Hill Funeral Home, Nashville, (615) 865-1101.
