Mrs. Ethel Rae Johnson's Obituary
Ethel Rae Johnson, age 81, of Madison, Tennessee passed away on Wednesday, October 17, 2018 in Nashville, Tennessee. She was born on October 1, 1937 in Buda, Texas to the late Leonard Willie Harp and Elna Blanche Seton.
Rae was a wonderful seamstress who enjoyed sewing and crocheting. She also enjoyed painting with oil and acrylic paints. Rae thoroughly loved music, especially country music. She enjoyed dancing as well, whether it was dancing the two step, waltz or even ballroom dancing.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Raymond Johnson, Sr and a sister Patsy Hoffman.
She is survived by a son Raymond (Kim) Johnson, Jr; two daughters, Deborah (Greg) Geissen and Judy (Dave) Hadley; a brother Darrel (Norma) Harp; sisters Doris (Gene) Patches and Joyce (Robert) Jentsch; grandchildren Austin Johnson, Garrett Johnson, Rhetta Zella, Valerie (Jason) Doolittle, Amanda (Mike) Binkley, Tyler (Tabitha) Geissen, Tiffany (Draper) Lovelady and Stephanie Burns; great-grandchildren McKenzie Geissen, Landon Zella, Ava Doolittle, Emma Binkley, Braxton Doolittle, Izabella Geissen, Kaysen Geissen, Trevor Broad, Caitlyn Burns, Chloe Burns, and Charlie Lovelady; and a host of loving family and friends.
Visitation will be held Thursday, October 18, 2018, from 4 PM to 8 PM at Spring Hill Funeral Home in Nashville, Tennessee. Another visitation will take place on Sunday, October 21, 2018, from 3 PM to 5 PM at Cook-Walden/Forest Oaks Funeral Home and Memorial Park located at 6300 W William Cannon Drive, Austin, Texas 78749. Funeral services will be held on Monday, October 22, 2018 at 3:30 PM at Cook-Walden/Forest Oaks Funeral Home and Memorial Park with burial to follow.
