Mrs. Eva G. Jones' Obituary
Eva Jones of Dickson, age 80, passed away February 3, 2016 at her home after a long battle with cancer. Born December 18, 1935 in Erin, TN to the late George and Goldie Bell. She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings. She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Vernon Jones; children Glenda Gomez, Patricia Cornish, Steve Jones (Pat), Randy Jones (Patty), and Tim Jones (Lynne); grandchildren Christy Betty, Mike Gomez, Keith Cornish, Adam Cornish, Bradley Jones, Crystal Wrather, Lisa Bond, Kayla Vanderpool, Brandon Jones, Jason Jones, Aaron Jones, Timmy Jones, Matthew Jones, Tammy Thatcher, Christie Gilliam, Amy Briggs and 13 great-grandchildren.
Eva was a very loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Her family was the most important part of her life. She enjoyed sewing, collecting gemstones, and she contributed faithfully to The 700 Club.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held Monday, February 8, 2016, 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of Spring Hill Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Spring Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday 11:00 a.m-8:00 p.m. and Sunday 8:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m. at Spring Hill Funeral Home and Cemetery, 5110 Gallatin Road, Nashville, TN, 37216, 615-865-1101.
