Dear Jerry, Jimmy, Minerva and the rest of the family:
It was such a blessing to have such a wonderful aunt as my Aunt Evelyn. The memories that I have of her are numerous and will always be treasured. She reached out to our family in so many ways, and I, in particular, feel that I have received much of her generous and compassionate nature.
She loved her sons and worked hard to supply all their needs, raising them as a single mother. In fact, she loved all of her family with an unending love. She will be remembered by me for her kind and loving nature to all those that she came in contact with.
Every time have had an opportunity to visit with my aunt in the last several years, she has spoken of her love for God and her desire to be with him. This last December she particularly spoke of her desire to go on to her heavenly home. Praise God She Made It!
