Ms. Evelyn Ruth Baker's Obituary
Evelyn Ruth Baker, age 82, of Nashville, Tennessee, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family, Saturday, May 12, 2018 at home. She is preceded in death by her parents, Louis and Ruby Dennie; one daughter, Deborah Baker; one brother, Robert McKay. She is survived by two daughters, Pamela Baker and Karen Provence; one brother, Owen McKay; one sister, Linda Thompson; one grandchild, Zachary Seabolt. Evelyn loved teaching and taking care of babies through her work at the daycare. Aside from her professional career, she loved shopping, going to movies, going out to eat, planting flowers and making ceramics. She was very outgoing and loved to cook for her family and friends. Evelyn was a very devoted and loving mother. She spent most of her time with her two daughters, Pam and Karen. We are truly going to miss her. She will be missed by all those who loved her and knew her. Visitation for Evelyn will be held on Wednesday, May 16, 2018 from 3 PM until 7 PM and again on Thursday, May 17, 2018 from 1 PM until 2 PM at which time a Celebration of Life Funeral Ceremony will be conducted from the chapel of Spring Hill Funeral Home, 5110 Gallatin Road, Nashville, Tennessee, 37216.
