Evelyn Jean Felts' Obituary
Evelyn Jean Felts, a spirited and independent soul, passed away on June 6, 2024, in Mt. Juliet, Tennessee. Born on May 5, 1933, in Nashville, she was the youngest of eight children born to John Edgar Patton and Pearlie Mai Donovan Patton.
Evelyn was known for her impeccable sense of style; she was always elegantly dressed, leaving a lasting impression wherever she went. She had a soft spot for the music of Elvis Presley and was even able to meet him at the Nashville Capitol Building! She retired after 45 years of service with the State of Tennessee. After retirement, she enjoyed exploring new places during her travels, from California to Las Vegas and all around the country. She had a lucky streak and could spot the winning gambling machine at any casino she walked into.
But above all, Evelyn cherished her close-knit family. Her memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew her, especially her niece Patricia J. Beazley (Pamela), great-niece Sarah Francis Hamil (Tanner), and a host of several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her beloved parents John and Pearlie Mai.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, June 13th, 2024, from 9:00 in the morning until the service at 10:30 in the morning, with burial to follow at Spring Hill Funeral Home and Cemetery, 5110 Gallatin Road, Nashville, TN 37216. All are welcome.
Final arrangements are entrusted to Spring Hill Funeral Home and Cemetery, “Where Nashville Comes to Remember.”
