Mrs. Evelyn C. Haynie's Obituary
Evelyn Cook Haynie “MuMama”, age 96 of Hermitage passed away May 6, 2014 at McKendree Health Center surrounded by her family. She was preceded in death by her husband, James L. Haynie and sisters, Mildred Smith and Audrey Grissom. She is survived by her daughter, Nita Hayes of Nashville; two sons, James Haynie (Brenda) of Virginia Beach, VA and Phil Haynie (Rita) of Cleveland, TN; 8 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. The family wishes to thank all the wonderful caretakers at McKendree and Alive Hospice. A celebration of her life will be held on Friday, May 9th at 2:00 P.M. from the Chapel of Spring Hill Funeral Home. The family will receive friends on Friday from 12:00 P.M. until 2:00 P.M. Interment will be in Historic Spring Hill Cemetery.
