Mrs. Evie Gooch Foster's Obituary
Evie Gooch Neely Foster, age 97, went to her heavenly home, Saturday, December 12, 2020. She was a woman of strong faith her entire life. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 49 years, Marshall Eugene Foster, Jr., son, Marshall Eugene Foster, III and son-in-laws Steve, Chuck and Charles. She is survived by her daughters, Gooch Foster, Jane Sanders, Martha Love Underwood, Marsha Mundy and brother, Jim Neely. She will be greatly missed by her 4 children,12 grandchildren, and 27 great-grandchildren. Mother especially enjoyed singing in the church choir. She loved all sports, especially rooting for Vanderbilt, Atlanta Braves and the Titans! She was an artist, a talented seamstress, and a wonderful cook but most of all a wise and caring wife, mother, and friend.
A graveside service for family only will be held Wednesday, December 16, at Spring Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to her beloved church, City Road Chapel United Methodist at 701 Gallatin Road, Madison, TN. 37115.
