Mr. Ezra D. "Jack" Midgett's Obituary
Ezra D. “Jack” Midgett, age 99, passed away on Friday, June 14, 2019 in Hendersonville, Tennessee. Jack was born on December 1, 1919 in Watertown, Tennessee to the late Ezra Wilson Midgett and Virgin (Davenport) Midgett.
Jack served his country in the United States Army. He was a humble man, this was instilled in him when he was a child, being raised on a dairy farm. He enjoyed being outdoors and seeing God’s creation of where he enjoyed gardening and mowing grass. He can be remembered for being a “master” bird house builder. Jack and his wife, Pauline were both longtime members of the Madison First Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by his wife of seventy-two years, Pauline Midgett.
Jack is survived by daughter, Sherryl Midgett; son, Randy Midgett and wife, Teresa; grandchildren, Kristen McCarter and husband, Brian, Lisa Jernigan and husband, James; great-grandchildren, Shelby Jernigan and Hunter Jernigan. He is also survived by a host of relatives and friends.
A celebration of life service will be held on Wednesday, June 19, 2019 at 12 noon at the Spring Hill Funeral Home with Jack Carver officiating. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 18, 2019 from 4 pm until 8 pm at Spring Hill Funeral Home with an additional visitation on Tuesday, 11 am until 12 pm at the funeral home. Entombment will follow in the Historic Spring Hill Cemetery.
