Fannie Mae Rose's Obituary
Celebrating the Life of Fannie Mae Rose
October 18th, 1940 – January 28th, 2026
We celebrate the beautiful life of Fannie Mae Rose, who was born in Nashville, Tennessee, and filled eighty-five years with loyalty, independence, dependability, and helpfulness. Her bright spirit touched many and will continue to shine through the stories we share.
Fannie Mae poured thirty dedicated years into her career with AT&T, earning wide respect for her strong work ethic and steady leadership. Colleagues often remarked that projects ran smoother simply because Fannie Mae was there.
Away from work, she cheered fiercely for her beloved San Francisco 49ers, never missing a game if she could help it. Weekends often found her “junking” for antiques with her lifelong friend Susan, turning each outing into a light-hearted treasure hunt.
Fannie’s love of flowers—especially roses—showed in every bouquet she arranged and every garden she admired. Her faith guided her as an elder at Sycamore Church of Christ, where she served with the same commitment that marked every part of her life.
She is lovingly remembered by her granddaughter Terri Pewitt (Ben Donnelly); great grandchildren, William Hindman (Krissy Marin) and Ashley Dowlen (Chris Biggs); great-great grandchildren Skylar Hindman and Mason Dement who carries forward Fannie Mae’s joy for life and steady kindness. As we share memories, may every blooming rose and every thrilling football play remind us of Fannie Mae’s vibrant, well-lived journey.
