Florence "Jackie" Humel's Obituary
Florence Jacqueline “Jackie” Humel, 89, sadly passed away on October 19, 2024. She was born on June 3, 1935, in Buffalo, New York, to the late Allen Kenneth Luce and Florence Pauline Kieser Luce.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded by her siblings, Evelyn “Emmy” Hanel, Kenneth “Sonny” Luce, and Richard “Dick” Luce; and her sons-in-law, Jerry Nachtrieb and Jerry Roes.
Jackie is survived by her loving husband of 70 years, Gordon Humel; children, Deborah Nachtrieb, Karen (John) Kleinhans, Gary (Terri) Humel, and Nancy Roes; 12 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great-grandchildren; and her sisters, Geraldine “Gerry” Henry and Sandra Richley.
Jackie was a kind and loving woman who knew how to be feisty when the situation arose. She truly was a friend to everyone and never met a stranger. She had the best sense of humor and knew how to make you laugh. She had a love for many hobbies. To know Jackie was to know her gardens. From flowers to vegetables, she had the green thumb to accomplish it all. She also enjoyed canning and baking. Jackie and Gordon both had a love for traveling and made the best out of that. They traveled all over to see all the sights. Above everything, Jackie had a love for her family. They were her whole world, and she would do anything for them. Jackie truly will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
