Frances B. Maddin, age 89, of Gallatin, Tennessee, passed away on Saturday, August 14, 2021. Born February 5, 1932 in Nashville, Tennessee, she was the daughter of the late Richard Bolling and Elma Webster Bolling.
Frances was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who will be missed dearly. She attended Northside Baptist Church. Frances was known as the plant whisperer. She could grow anything and bring any plant back to life. She most loved growing roses. Her family will remember her sweet laugh and beautiful smile. She loved to go for walks and enjoyed sitting outside watching her grandkids play. She would sing along to songs; particularly old gospel hymns and she would tell stories from long ago. She found incredible joy in caring for others. It was never a burden, but an act of love as she raised her siblings, her children, and her grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Homer Maddin; sons Michael Maddin and Larry Maddin; son-in-law Terry Stewart.
She is survived by her daughter Debra Stewart; son Homer (Tina) Maddin, Jr.; grandchildren Lori (Alan) McKay, Larry Eugene (Regina) Maddin, Jr, Tonya Maddin (Rocky) Gann, Tammy Maddin, Homer Maddin, III, Misty (Mike) Burns, Kaylee Middlebrooks, Terri Leigh (Jared) Rickard, Michael (Jessica) Maddin, Jr., Kaitlin Maddin (Terrell) Scruggs; great grandchildren Ronnie (Savannah), Sara, Justin, Julie (Chris), Courtney (Cody), Abigail, Elijah, Isabella, Ariana, Rylan, Calvin, Dawson, Meredith, Monica, Matthias, Eliana, Zayden, Zoey, Jermy, Jeremiah, Riley, Elijah daughter-in-law Sandy Maddin; brothers Joe David Bolling, Howard (Honey) Bolling, and Andy Bolling; sister Jean Bolling.
