Frances Etta Mazzaferro's Obituary
Frances Etta (Chapman) Mazzaferro, age 87, passed away on April 29th.
Frances is survived by her husband Joseph F. Mazzaferro & children Joseph (Lisa) Mazzaferro, Sandra (John) Anderson, Richard (Teresa) Gillaspie, Anthony (Tracy) Mazzaferro, Robin Gillaspie, Russell Gillaspie, Ronald (Brenda) Gillaspie, Rachel Throneberry, Reverdy (Sarah) Gillaspie, Michael (Denise) Mazzaferro, 26 grandchildren & over 30 great grandchildren.
Frances retired from Fifty Forward, Inc. as the Associate Executive Director of Programs & Services. She wrote many grants including their first Meals-On-Wheels program & oversaw several centers in the Nashville area. She returned as interim director of the Donelson Sr Center in 2013-1014.
Frances highest calling was serving the Lord. One of the first women in the Community of Christ priesthood, she served as Priest, High Priest, & Evangelist. She was Pastor of her local congregation, President of the TN-KY district, & Mission Center Financial Officer. Her ministry left an impression on countless individuals, offering prayers, counseling, financial, emotional & spiritual support to any in need.
A memorial service to honor Frances' memory will be held on Saturday, May 11th, 2024 at 1:00 in the afternoon at Community of Christ, 3220 Bell Road, Nashville, TN 37214.
In lieu of flowers, the family prefers donations to Community of Christ, Fifty Forward Inc. or Alive Hospice in her name.
Final arrangements for Mrs. Mazzaferro are entrusted to Spring Hill Funeral Home and Cemetery, "Where Nashville Comes to Remember."
