Mrs. Frances Abrams Tarvin's Obituary
Mrs. Frances Jewell Abrams Tarvin, 86, widow of Richard Lee Tarvin and formerly of Madison, died Saturday, October 4, 2014 at her residence in Pompano Beach, Florida.
The Harlen, Kentucky native was the daughter of the late Roscoe and Pearl Gatliff Abrams. She was a restaurant manager for many years and was a member of the Lighthouse Community Church. She enjoyed playing cards especially rummy and hearts with her close friends and during her lifetime made five trips to Israel.
She is survived by two daughters, Sallie Ann (Jerry) Dukes and Barbara Ruth Pitts; a son, Wayne Abrams; a brother, Ruben Abrams; two grandchildren, Julie Christina Campbell and Jeremy Jay Dukes; three great grandchildren, Hannnah Joy Campbell Brockman, Carissa Campbell and Morgan Campbell; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Rocky Cates; a sister, Leona Abbott; two brothers, Charles Abrams and Buddy Abrams; a grandchild, Joy Jenine Dukes.
A Celebration of Life Funeral Ceremony will be conducted Saturday, October 11, 2014 at 11:00AM at Spring Hill Funeral Home. The family will visit with friends Friday, October 10, 2014 from 4:00 until 8:00PM at the funeral home. Entombment will be in the Historic Spring Hill Serenity Mausoleum.
