Mr. Frank Wayne Fagan's Obituary
Mr. Frank Wayne Fagan, age 87 of Goodlettsville, Tennessee passed away on Sunday, September 27, 2020. He was born on September 17, 1933 in Chapel Hill, Tennessee to the late Robert and Edith Fagan. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers Bobby Fagan and Jerry Fagan. He is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Lois Sledge Fagan, his children Vivian Huff (Andy) and DeWayne Fulcher, his brother Harold Fagan, his sisters Betty Lois Sarsfield, Judy Martin, and Susan Henson. He is also survived by his granddaughters Kelly, Stephanie, and Andrea, his great-grandchildren Olivia and Andrew, and a host of nieces and nephews.
Frank was the oldest of seven children, and they all enjoyed spending time together. Whether coming together for a big family dinner to enjoy some fried chicken and Lois’ famous chocolate cake, or taking a family trip to Gatlinburg for the weekend, they always found a way to come together and enjoy time together as a family. When he was younger, Frank proudly served his country in the United States Army, and afterwards attended business school. He worked in the collections business for years, and after he retired, he took up woodworking. Frank was an amazingly gifted carpenter and built homes and furniture. His furniture pieces were so beautiful he took them on the road to craft shows. Frank also enjoyed traveling, and in their 65 wonderful years together, he and Lois traveled all over. Sometimes they would simply pick up a map, hop in the car or on a plane, and head out, needing nothing but each other and the open road to have a great time. Frank lived a wonderful, full life, and he will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
A visitation will be held at Spring Hill Funeral Home on Thursday, October 1, 2020 from 10am to 1pm, with a Celebration of Life Service beginning in the Spring Hill Funeral Home Chapel at 1pm. Burial will follow in Historic Spring Hill Cemetery. Spring Hill Funeral Home and Cemetery has been entrusted with the final care of Mr. Fagan. 5110 Gallatin Road, Nashville, Tennessee 37216.
