Mr. Frank S. McKinney's Obituary
Frank S. McKinney, age 88, of Hendersonville, went to be with his Heavenly Father Saturday, January 2, 2016. He was born March 16, 1927 in Cedar Hill, Tennessee to the late Fred and Ruby McKinney. He is preceded in death by his first wife, Obera; his brothers, Coy and John; and sister, Ruby.
He is survived by his wife, Helen McKinney; son, Larry McKinney (Linda); brothers, James and Ray; sisters, Nannie Lou, Katie, Nell and Robbie Jean; grandaughters, Tara Holmes (Bill) and Sandy McKinney; great-granddaughters, Destiny Kirby and Elizabeth Holmes; and great-great grandson, Oliver Monroe.
Frank served his country in the United States Army during WWII. After his discharge from the Army, he went on to work many years at Neuhoff Meat Packing Plant. He later became owner and operator of Gulf Service Station with his son for 19 years.
The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday and from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. Wednesday at Spring Hill Funeral Home. A celebration of life funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, January 6, 2016 at Spring Hill Funeral Home with Bishop Richard J. St.Onge and Bishop Joel D. Sims officiating of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Interment will follow in Historic Spring Hill Cemetery.
