Hayes Sr. and Nell Hayes Cobb. He is survived by his wife of 62 years Martha Womack Hayes; children, Debbie (Randy) Heavener, Darrell (Sharon) Hayes and Dan Hayes; 5 grandchildren, Eric and Joshua Hayes and Stacey, Shane and Scott Heavener; 6 great-grandchildren; 2 beloved sisters-in-law, Betty Clark and Barbara (Bruce) Costin; beloved cat “Pee Wee” and his dog, Mandy. Frank retired from DuPont at the age of 62. He served faithfully on the board of directors at Old Hickory Credit Union for years. He served in the Navy during WWII. Franks greatest and most important thing in his life was serving his Lord. In church, he served as deacon and taught the Bible in Sunday school for over 50 years. He and his wife worked many years to begin a mission in Goodlettsville. They are present members of Dickerson Road Baptist Church. In Frank’s middle 60’s he became involved in the “Senior Games” where he competed in 100, 200, and 300 sprints, long jump and high jump. He won most challenges and has over 300 medals in all. Frank’s dedication to God and Church would not allow him to participate on Sundays, the Lord’s day. Funeral services will be on Tuesday, July 12, 2011 at 11AM in the chapel of Spring Hill Funeral Home. Bro. Mike Fisher, Bro. Raymond Langlois, Bro. John Langlois and Best Friend, Chuck Dice will officiate. Visitation will be on Monday from 4-8PM and Tuesday from 10-11AM.
