Mr. Frank Allison Smith's Obituary
Smith, Frank Allison of Goodlettsville, TN passed away on August 28, 2013 at age 97. Mr. Smith was born to the late William and Lula Smith. He was preceded in death by his daughter Sherry Ann Grisham; brothers Richard and Cecil; and a sister, Jessie Locke. He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Alma Moore Smith and granddaughters Anita Federico, Kathy Leming, and Darlene Gray. He had many special nieces and nephews and especially niece, Freida Gray who helped care for him. Mr. Smith served in the US Army during World War II and saw action in the invasion of Normandy, and various battles throughout Europe including the Battle of the Bulge. Mr. Smith was a member of Tulip Street UMC since 1955. A special thanks to the staff at the Hearth in Hendersonville and Caris Health Care, Dr. Thomas Miller and nurse Jackie. Visitation will be Friday, August 30th from 12:00 until 2:00 p.m. Funeral service will be on Friday, August 30th at 2 p.m. with Rev. Matthew Baldwin officiating. Pallbearers are nephews. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Tulip Street UMC, 522 Russell St., Nashville, TN, 37206.
