Frankie O. Harp Jr.'s Obituary
HARP Jr., Frankie O.; Age 75 of Madison, TN passed away, June 27, 2012 at Veterans Hospital Nashville. He was born in Bainbridge, GA, December 3, 1936 to the late Frankie O. Harp Sr. and Ollie McGowan Harp. He is a Veteran of the United States Army where he was the recipient of a Purple Heart and a Silver Star for his service during Vietnam. Frank was a man of faith who loved to be outdoors and loved to fish. His family and his friends were his life and he enjoyed helping others. He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Lavonzetta Harp; children, Juan Harp, Grimadus Harp, Marvin Oglesby Jr., Armondo Oglesby and Dawn Shoats; brother, Jackie Owens Harp; sister, Lula Ellen Harp; 9 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren; niece Sherry Webb and care-giver, Erica McWilliams. Special thanks is extended to VA Hospital Nashville, Primary Care Physician-Dr. Harold Jordan, Nurse Practitioner-Phyllis Egbert. A funeral ceremony celebrating the life of Frankie O. Harp Jr. will be held on Monday, July 9, 2012 at 11AM in the chapel of Spring Hill Funeral Home with Herbert T. Brown officiating. The family will receive friends between the hours of 2 PM and 4 PM on Saturday July 7, 2012 at Spring Hill Funeral Home. Interment will be on Monday, July 9th at 2PM in the Middle Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery.
