Franklin D. Hawkins' Obituary
HAWKINS, Franklin D. of Goodlettsville passed away on Tuesday, August 4, 2009; he was 76. Mr. Hawkins was vice-president of sales for E.T. Lowe Publishing Co. for fifty-three years. He was a member of City Road United Methodist Church where he attended the Living Word Sunday School Class. Mr. Hawkins was a Korean War Veteran. He is survived by his loving wife of fifty-six years Ann Gill Hawkins of Goodlettsville; sons, Jeffrey Franklin (Sandy) Hawkins of Goodlettsville and Barry Eugene (Kim) Hawkins of Hendersonville; brothers, Glyde E. (Anita) Hawkins and Edison L. (M.A.) Hawkins; sisters, Laura (Eddie) Snowden and Joan Rooney; grandchildren; Tiffany Smith, J.J. Hawkins, Samantha Smith, Chelsea Hawkins, Nicholas Hawkins and Zachary Hawkins; great-grandchildren, Tessa Myers, Keegan Kelley and Tinslee Myers. The family will receive friends on Thursday, August 6, 2009 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm at Spring Hill Funeral Home, 5110 Gallatin Rd., Nashville, TN and where funeral services will be conducted on Friday, August 7, 2009 at 1pm with Rev. Ray Newell and Rev. William Fowler officiating. Honorary Pallbearers: Living Word Sunday School Class. Active Pallbearers: Nicholas, Zachary, J.J. and Dale Hawkins, Matt and Dustin Sinyard, Shaun Fowler, Carroll Moore. The family will receive friends on Friday one hour prior to service. Interment will follow in Spring Hill Cemetery.
