Mr. Franklin D. Palmer's Obituary
Franklin Delano Palmer, age 82, of Nashville, Tennessee, passed away on Sunday, July 21, 2019. He is preceded in death by his parents, Lemuel and Helen Palmer; one brother, Lemuel Palmer Jr. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Melba Palmer. Four sons, Wade Palmer, Kenny Palmer, Neal Palmer, Jeff Palmer; one daughter Julie D. Palmer; one sister, Margaret Palmer; six grandchildren, Matthew Palmer, Grant Palmer, Sam Palmer, Olivia Palmer, Catie Palmer, Reed Palmer; two great-grandchildren, Hayden Palmer, Makayla Palmer. Franklin was a member of the Society of Plastics Engineers and traveled quite a bit with the society. He was a very humble person and loved high school sports. He was very involved with Nashville Christian School and was a 25 year employee of Aladdin Synergetics. He will be missed by all those who knew him and loved him. Visitation for Franklin will be held on Tuesday, July 23, 2019 from 3 PM until 8 PM at Charlotte Heights Church of Christ, 6833 Old Charlotte Pike, Nashville, TN, 37209. Additional visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 24, 2019 from 11 AM until 1 PM at which time a Celebration of Life Funeral service will be conducted from the church chapel by pastor Cliff Dobbs and Josh Barnett. Burial will follow in Palmer Family Cemetery, White House, TN. In lieu of flowers, donations are requested to the Churches of Christ Disaster Relief Effort Inc.
