Mr. Fred M. Toney's Obituary
Fred M. Toney, age 69, of Ashland City, TN, passed away on Friday, January 03, 2020. He is preceded in death by his parents, Roger Toney and Louise Nave. He is survived by his brother, Roger Toney; two sisters, Constance Patterson, Donna Basham (Bobby); nieces, Tracey Downs (Don), Karen Patterson, Rachel Toney; nephews, Shane Patterson (Marissa), Jackie Toney; great nieces, Megan Toney, Jessica Downs, Meghan Parker; great nephews, Jackie Toney II, Brody Patterson; step-son, Josh Meeks; step-daughters, Lori Copley (Bryan), Melissa Spence (Michael); five step-grandchildren, Dario Meeks, Michael Meeks, Kalia Rouse (Benjamin), Kriston Spence, Jacob Spence; one great step-grandchild, Alex Meeks.
Fred loved playing guitar, had a great sense of humor, loved working with his hands and building things. He was always busy and a hard working man. He served in the US Army and also went to school to work on gaming machines. Fred was a proud employee of American Airlines for 30+ years from which he retired. He also loved taking care of his animals. Fred was a very mild mannered person and was always humble never having met a stranger. He will be missed by all those who knew him and loved him.
Interment will be held on Wednesday, January 8, 2020 at 2:00 on the grounds of Spring Hill Cemetery, 5110 Gallatin Road, Nashville, TN, 37216. Arrangements by Spring Hill Funeral Home and Cemetery, a Nashville landmark since 1785 “Where Nashville Comes to Remember”
