Mr. Frederick Lee Toney, III's Obituary
Frederick Lee Toney, III, age 74, passed away on Friday, December 2, 2016 at his residence in Portland. Fred was born on January 1, 1942 in Atlanta, Georgia to Frederick Lee, Jr. and Julia (Hubbard) Toney.
Prior to Mr. Toney’s retirement, he was employed by the United Parcel Services as a feeder driver for thirty-six years. Mr. Toney served his country in the US Navy. He enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle with his wife, Patricia; as well the fellow members of Christian Motorcycle Association and he enjoyed antique cars. After retirement, he and his wife started an alpaca farm. He was a member of the Cornerstone Church-Nashville. Fred had a great love for his family and cherished the life that he had been given to live.
Mr. Toney is survived by his loving wife of nearly thirty years, Patricia Toney; one daughter, Angela Arieh and husband, Josh, two sons, Robert Goes, Michael Toney and wife, Julie; one sister, Patricia Rodgers; six grandchildren. He is also survived by a host of relatives and friends.
A celebration of life service will be held on Thursday, December 8, 2016 at 2:00 PM with Pastor Sandra Sterban officiating at Spring Hill Funeral Home. Interment will follow services in the Historic Spring Hill Cemetery. A celebration of life visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 7, 2016 from 4-8PM at Spring Hill Funeral Home.
Serving as pallbearers will be Robert Goes, Josh Arieh, Steve Benton, Kar Heinrich, Camden McConnel, and Roy Link.
