Ms. Gail Corbett's Obituary
Gail Corbett, age 74 of Nashville, passed away peacefully on November 12, 2020. She was born on December 27, 1945 to the late Wilburn and Ann Rebecca Harris Sawyers. Preceded in death by her parents, her daughter Connie Corbett Aldridge; sisters, Shirley Adams and Patricia Rogers; brothers Danny Sawyers, Tommy Sawyers, Johnny Sawyers and Randy Sawyers.
Gail is survived by her loving husband and companion, Mike Corbett; her daughters Jeanette (Terry) Fox and Karla (DJ) Shoulders; grandchildren Andy, Hayden and Chloe Fox, Preston (Christian) Shoulders and Peyton Shoulders; one great-grandson, Greyson Cole; sisters Carol (Jerry) Mills and Becky (Tim) Bohanan, seventeen nieces and nephews.
Gail had been a longtime member of the First Apostolic Church. She loved her family with everything she had and was a faithful friend to many. She was always a hard worker, very independent and had an infectious laugh that would light up the room. She spent many years working as the Director of First Impressions at Spring Hill Funeral Home and Cemetery. She is at peace now and spending eternity with her Lord and Savior.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held Sunday, November 15, 2020 at 7:00 p.m. at the First Apostolic Church, 265 Broadmoor Drive, Nashville, TN 37207 with Pastor D.J. Shoulders officiating. Visitation with her family and friends will be on Sunday from 3:00-7:00 p.m. at the church. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park on Monday, November 16, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude or The Alzheimer’s Foundation.
