Mr. Gary Wayne Coons, Sr's Obituary
Gary Wayne Coons, Sr., age 67 of Nashville, passed away February 17, 2016. He was born April 18, 1948 in Nashville to the late James Gordon and Mattie Mai Coons. Preceded in death by his parents; son Gary Wayne Coons, Jr.; brothers David and Jimmy Coons; and sister Dorothy Atchley. He is survived by his daughters Teresa Coons, Brenda Coons (Scott Langford), and Angela Coons; brother Roy Coons (Becky); sister Joyce Nokes; brother-in-law Roy Atchley; sister-in-law Donna Coons; grandchildren Floyd Gillihan, III, Christina Gillihan, Ray Dozier, Daniel Coons, Chasidy Coons, Kayla Coons, Matthew Solis, Christopher Solis, Brittany Price, Travis Price, Amber Price, Ashley Price, and Robert McFall; thirteen great-grandchildren.
Gary loved spending time with his children and grandchildren. He enjoyed going to flea markets and yard sales. He will be greatly missed by all that knew him.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held Monday, February 22, 2016, 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of Spring Hill Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Spring Hill Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be Sunday 12:00-8:00 p.m. and Monday 11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. at Spring Hill Funeral Home and Cemetery, 5110 Gallatin Road, Nashville, TN 37216, 615-865-1101.
