Mr. Gary L. Minchey's Obituary
Gary L. Minchey, 74, of Mt. Juliet, Tennessee passed away on Monday, November 18, 2019 at his home. Gary was born April 19, 1945 in Gainsboro, Tennessee to the late Bud Minchey and Hazel Denton.
Gary worked in the area for 50+ years in the construction industry installing replacement windows and vinyl siding on houses. He was a fan of the University of Tennessee football team. In his spare time, he enjoyed playing cards or watching a good country western show like Gunsmoke.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 47 years Judy Minchey in October of 2018 and his daughter Tammy Minchey in April of 2019.
He is survived by his son, Mark Minchey; daughters Shannon (Donnie) Draper and Tammie (Tim) Schultz; grandchildren Holly Minchey, Sarah Stidham, Hillary (Chad) Arnold, and Jasmin (Will) Austin; and a great-grandson River.
Visitation will be held on Friday, November 22, 2019 from 10 AM until 2 PM at Spring Hill Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life Funeral Service will take place at 2 PM. Burial will follow in the Historic Spring Hill Cemetery in Nashville.
