Mrs. Gayle Phillips Hardaway's Obituary
Mrs. Gayle Phillips Hardaway, 67, a resident of Madison, died Sunday, October 5, 2014 at St. Thomas Midtown Hospital.
The Nashville, Tennessee native was the daughter of the late Loyd Douglas and Vivian Lane Phillips. For several years she was a coordinator at The Shelter for Women in Nashville and was an active member of the New Life Community Church. She enjoyed her computer, watching her favorite NASCAR driver, Jimmy Johnson and spending time with her grandchildren. Her main focus in life was living each day for the Lord.
She is survived by a daughter, Dana (Roger) Covington; a sister, Shirley (Jerry) Smith; two brothers, Charles Douglas (Sharon) Phillips and Randall Lane (Betty) Phillips; nine grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. The family wants to express their appreciation to Brittany Manlove, Samantha Phillips and Khristyne Carlisle for all the love and care given
A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be conducted Friday, October 10, 2014 at 7:00PM at the New Life Community Church, 2414 Valley View Rd., Joelton, TN 37080 with Pastor Gerald Pryor officiating. Arrangements entrusted to Spring Hill Funeral Home & Cemetery, Nashville, 615-865-1101.
