Mrs. Geneva Smith Morgan's Obituary
Geneva Smith Morgan, age 92, of Gallatin, Tennessee, passed away on Sunday, June 14, 2020. She is preceded in death by her parents, Henry L. and Euda Smith; husband, Emery Morgan; one son, Jeff Morgan; two sisters, Ruth Witt, Eula Swann; three brothers, Warren Smith, Bill Smith, Ted Smith. She is survived by one son, Keith Morgan (Brenda); two grandchildren, Lisa Cornwell, Justin Morgan (Heather); six great-grandchildren, Jacob Marina, Haleigh Walden, Kristin Striplin, Hannah Cornwell, Alyssa Cornwell, Brayden Morgan; three great-great grandchildren, Grayson Moore, Easton Agustin, Violet Cornwell. Geneva enjoyed Trout fishing, sewing and was considered a good cook. She was known for her chocolate pie and everyone always looked forward to eating it. She often brought food for the rest of the family during holiday gatherings. She often gathered with friends to play Canasta and her smile and sense of humor will be missed at the card table. Geneva was a faithful member of The Church of Christ for her entire life. Visitation for Geneva will be held on Thursday, June 18, 2020 from 4 PM until 8 PM at Spring Hill Funeral Home and Cemetery, 5110 Gallatin Road, Nashville, TN, 37216. A Celebration of Life Funeral Service will be conducted from the funeral home chapel on Friday, June 19, 2020 at Noon with burial to follow in Historic Spring Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Alive Hospice Nashville in Geneva’s memory.
