Mr. George Isaac DeWeese's Obituary
George DeWeese, age 89, of Madison, passed away Sunday, December 27, 2015 in Decatur, Alabama. He was born August 3, 1926 in McMinnville, TN to the late Timothy and Kate (Hollon) DeWeese. He is also preceded in death by his wife, Mary Evelyn DeWeese; and brothers, Robert and Clarence DeWeese.
George retired from Ford Glass Plant after 34 years of faithful service. He loved gardening flowers in his spare time and is said to have had the most beautiful yard in Madison. At last count, George had 54 beautiful rose bushes in his yard.
He is survived by his son, Derek DeWeese; daughters, Dana Murphree and Diane Willey; grandchildren, Deana Flick, Michelle Teague (Terry), Isaac Willey and Joseph Willey (Amanda); great-grandchildren, Ally Flick, Madison Ricks, Jenae Flick, Stefan Ricks and Evie Willey.
The family will receive friends from 5 - 8 p.m. Tuesday and from 10 – 11 a.m. Wednesday at Spring Hill Funeral Home. A celebration of life funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, December 30, 2015 with Brother Walter “Ed” Gragg officiating. Interment will follow in Historic Spring Hill Cemetery.
