Mr. George Winston Lesley's Obituary
George Winston Lesley, 90, of Goodlettsville, Tennessee, passed away on Thursday, June 11, 2020. Born October 12, 1929 in Athens, Alabama, he was the son of the late Lee Theodore Lesley and Mendoza Townsend Lesley.
Mr. Lesley was a retired realtor. He had a passion for food and prior to becoming a realtor George had been in the restaurant business. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. He and his wife, Jean, were members at Dalewood United Methodist Church on Ridgecrest Drive in Nashville where he was a member of the choir and a church officer.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers Theodore, Grady, Milton, Sterrs, William, and Tom Lesley; sister Anna D. Cummings.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Jean Lesley of Goodlettsville, TN; son Terrance (Deb) Pointer of Memphis, TN; grandchildren Kelly Pointer, Dana Joi (Calvin) Bond, Terrance (Samantha) Pointer, Jr, and Erioyna Pointer; great grandchildren Caterina Grace Bond, Colton Pointer and Chloe Pointer; nieces Phyllis Lesley of Dayton, OH and Sandra McCall of Apple Valley, CA; great nephew of Omari Davis of Nashville, TN; devoted friends Robert and Linda Bailey; and a host of cousins and friends.
A Celebration of Life Funeral Service will take place Monday, June 29, 2020 at 2 PM at Spring Hill Funeral Home in Nashville with Dr. Lynn Hill officiating. Burial accompanied by Air Force Military Honors will follow in the Historic Spring Hill Funeral Home.
