Mrs. Georgia Marie Benton Hobbs' Obituary
Mrs. Georgia Marie Benton Hobbs, age 85 of Nashville passed away on Tuesday, October 28, surrounded by her loving family.
She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great great grandmother who had many wonderful friends and church family. She lived in the same area of East Nashville for 85 years. She will be sadly missed by her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Don Hobbs and daughter, Tina Benton.
She is survived by her daughters, Carmaleatta (Billy) Cotten, Ellie (Robert) Leach and Deborah (Ronnie) Nipper; grandchildren, Debbie McCary, Chris Swann, Deanna Jackson, Tara Boyd, Marylynn Cotten and Brittany Maynard. 12 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren also survive.
Her family will receive friends from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Thursday, October 30 and from 11 a.m. until her Celebration of Life Service at 1 p.m. on Friday, October 31 at Spring Hill Funeral Home. Services will be conducted by Rev. Steve Saunders.
Honorary pallbearers will be, Ronnie Nipper, Sumner Boyd and Bryson Maynard. Active pallbearers will include, Billy Cotten, Robert Leach, Dylan Cotten, Jeremy Boyd, Michael Jackson and Chris Swann.
Interment will be in Historic Spring Hill Cemetery. Services entrusted to Spring Hill Funeral Home.
