Mrs. Georgia Erelene Osborne's Obituary
Georgia Erelene Osborne
September 10, 1933 – March 2, 2018
Erelene, at age 84, passed on peacefully at home in Jacksonville, FL in the early morning hours of March 2, 2018 with her daughter by her side. Erelene was born in Whiteville, TN, but made Nashville her home. She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Lonnie A. Osborne. She is survived by her sister, Birchie "Sissy" Tubb of Nashville; her daughter, Melanie (Randy) Thompson of Jacksonville, FL; her grandson, Jarred Nixon of Nashville; her step-grandson, Kyle (Tiffany) Thompson of Jacksonville, FL; and many nieces and nephews. Erelene worked beside the love of her life for many years at the family business, Osborne’s Watch Repair in downtown Nashville and later in Donelson. She loved gardening and family trips to the dog track, mountains and the beach. She was devoted to the care and well-being of not only her family but friends and neighbors as well. Erelene will always be remembered as a strong willed, hard-working, caring, compassionate, sassy woman. She will be missed by all whose lives she touched. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 6, 2018 from 4:00pm-8:00pm at Spring Hill Funeral Home. Service will be held on Wednesday, March 7, 2018 at 10:00am at Spring Hill Funeral Home's chapel with the burial immediately following at Spring Hill Cemetery. The family would like to thank Barbara Payne and Tanika Jean for their loving, compassionate care of Mama for the last several months of her life. Their devotion to her made it possible for her to remain home with her family, and their friendship with her made her days enjoyable and special.
