Mrs. Georgia Varetakis' Obituary
Georgia Varetakis, 97, of Nashville, Tennessee, passed away on Wednesday, May 24, 2023. Born June 26, 1925, in Alameda, California, she was the daughter of the late Athan Andronico and Katherine Stratis Andronico.
Georgia came from a large Greek family and was one of eight children. Shortly before moving to Nashville, Georgia was a real estate broker in California. She was also a retired travel agent. This job allowed her to travel the world and visit places such as Hong Kong, Egypt and Tokyo. She was a loving mother, sister, grandmother and great grandmother who will be missed dearly.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 31 years, Michael Varetakis; sisters Panayiota Morf, Sophie Weis, Johanna Fedderman, and Helen Poulos; brothers John Andronico and Niko Andronico.
She is survived by her sons Gus (Janice Hilsman) Varetakis and Nick (James Bryant) Varetakis; sister Nikie Saffas; granddaughter Lisa O’Donoghue and her husband Pat; great grandchildren Cora and Maggie; and several nieces and nephews.
