Mr. Gerald Skinner's Obituary
Gerald Dean Skinner, age 80 of Brentwood passed away September 28, 2014.
He was an active member of the First Church of the Nazarene. He also was a business man and entrepreneur, owning several businesses in his lifetime as well as a former TNU professor and a financial advisor. Gerald served as a board member for a variety of organizations and a Gideon. Most importantly, he was a wonderful and generous family man and loyal disciple of Jesus Christ.
He is survived by his wife Eileen Wise Skinner; children, Geri Skinner Mashburn (Chuck) and Jeffrey D. Skinner (Rita); grandchildren, Shelby Mashburn Crawford (Matthew), Jillian Skinner Arnold (Stephen) and Riley Mashburn. He was preceded in death by grandson, J. Ryan Skinner.
A funeral service will be held Saturday, October 4, 2014 at 1:00 pm at The First Church of the Nazarene with a visitation prior from 11:00 am-1:00 pm.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that any expressions in honor of Gerald should be directed to Trevecca Nazarene University: c/o Gerald D. Skinner Scholarship Fund or the First Church of the Nazarene in c/o Cheryl’s List.
